This third book in the GRACE SERIES is set in Dallas’ State/Thomas neighborhood (a freedman’s community), South Dallas, and East Texas between 1910 and 1955. This is Clara Ann’s story, Ellen’s mother and Freda’s Nana, and serves as a prequel to LOOKING FOR GRACE and THE DRY BONES.
